Terms & Conditions
Internet and TV service · In effect from 1 September 2026
The following is a summary of the key points of the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Stream Technology Kft. (the Company, the Provider) for its internet and television service. The full, current GTC is available free of charge at our customer service, and on request we also provide it electronically or in printed form.
A different General Terms and Conditions applies in Budapest District XI. You can find it on the Documents page.
1) The Provider's details and contact information
The Provider has no walk-in customer service office. Disputes concerning network build-out and service quality fall under the supervision of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH).

2) Entering into the contract
The subscriber contract consists of these general terms and the Individual Subscriber Contract, and may be concluded in writing, verbally, or through conduct implying consent — in particular by using the service.
The contract may run for an indefinite term or for a fixed term of up to 12 months; before a fixed-term contract is signed, the Provider must also offer the indefinite-term option and present its conditions.
A contract concluded electronically (e.g. on the website) must be confirmed and registered by the Provider electronically within 48 hours at the latest.
3) Scope and availability of the service
The exact content, geographic availability and technical conditions of the service are set out in the service-specific annexes of the GTC.
The service does not provide access to emergency call services, and the service under these terms does not qualify as a universal service.
4) Quality and availability
The Provider publishes the quality targets for each service type (e.g. new-connection lead time, fault-repair time, availability) in the annexes, and guarantees the quality of the service up to the service handover point.
Actual annual average availability is at least 90%, after deducting force majeure and outages attributable to the Subscriber.
5) Suspension and restriction of the service
- • Suspensions attributable to the Provider (e.g. for maintenance) may not exceed one day per month and are free of charge to the Subscriber.
- • At the Subscriber's request, the service may be suspended for up to a total of 6 months per calendar year, against a reduced fee.
- • The Provider may, with simultaneous notice to the Subscriber, restrict the service in the event of unpaid fees, breach of contract, or a threat to the network.
6) Customer service, fault reports and complaints
In case of a dispute, the Subscriber may turn to the competent conciliation board, the NMHH, the National Consumer Protection Authority, or the courts.
- • Faults can be reported by phone or through customer service; the Provider investigates within 48 hours and repairs a confirmed fault within its responsibility within 72 hours at the latest.
- • The Provider investigates written complaints within 30 days at the latest and replies in writing.
- • For billing disputes, the payment deadline for the disputed charge is extended by the time needed to investigate it.
7) Fees, billing and payment
- • Connection, one-off and recurring fees, and the current price plans, are listed in the GTC annexes and available from customer service and the website.
- • The payment deadline on an invoice is at least 8 calendar days from the invoice date.
- • Late payment carries interest at an annual rate of 15%.
- • The Provider may run time-limited promotional offers; their exact conditions are set out in the relevant promotion.
8) Contract duration and termination
The Subscriber may terminate an indefinite-term contract in writing at any time, without giving a reason, with a notice period of up to 8 calendar days.
The Provider's notice period — other than for breach of contract or unpaid fees — may not be less than 60 days; for unpaid fees it is at least 30 days, and only applies after the two notifications required by law have been sent.
Termination of the contract does not release the Subscriber from payment obligations that arose before termination.
9) Amending the contract
The contract is primarily amended by mutual agreement of the parties.
The Provider may unilaterally amend the GTC in particular due to a fee change, a change in law, or a change in the technical conditions of the service; except for the exceptions set out in law, it notifies the Subscriber at least 30 days before such a change takes effect.
Where a unilateral amendment is disadvantageous to the Subscriber, the Subscriber has an extraordinary right of termination under the conditions set out in law.
10) Data processing
The Provider explains in a separate notice, in detail, what personal data it processes in connection with performing the contract, for what purpose, on what legal basis, and what rights the Subscriber has.
11) Subscriber declarations and obligations
- • At the time of signing, the Subscriber must declare whether they are an individual or non-individual subscriber, and give their consents relating to data processing.
- • The Subscriber must report in writing any change to their details on file within 8 days at the latest.
- • The Subscriber must use the service as intended, and return any equipment owned by the Provider in working, undamaged condition when the contract ends.
12) Protection of minors
The Provider's website provides information and a list of links to easily installable and usable software that helps protect minors.
13) Miscellaneous
Given the nature of the service, number portability and carrier selection do not apply.
The parties designate the Buda Central District Court as the competent court for disputes arising from the subscriber relationship; claims arising from it are subject to a one-year limitation period.
This summary does not replace the full GTC; in case of any discrepancy, the current, full text of the General Terms and Conditions prevails.
